1. Cushions and Pillows: Add a Pop of Comfort & Colour

• While Adirondack chairs are comfortable on their own, adding a cushion or pillow can take your lounging experience to a whole new level. Look for cushions designed specifically for Adirondack chairs—they’re shaped to fit perfectly, offering support where you need it most. Choose weather-resistant fabrics to withstand sun, rain, and spills, and consider bold colours or patterns to add personality and style to your outdoor space. If you are not into cushions though these chairs are just as comfortable without.  Peter my husband throws ours on the ground as he finds it better without

• An Adirondack chair isn’t complete without a handy table to keep your drink, book, or snacks within arm’s reach. Opt for a matching side table in the same material as your chair for a cohesive look, or mix it up with a contrasting colour to make a statement. If space is limited go without the table as the wide armrests will do the job.  Or if you have an abundance of room, go the matching Adirondack coffee table.  They look good in between two Adirondacks with a plant on them.

• Adirondack chairs are built to last, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need a little TLC. Protect your chairs from the elements with durable, weather-resistant covers. Look for covers that are UV-resistant, waterproof, and have ventilation to prevent mold and mildew. A good cover will extend the life of your timber chair and keep it looking fresh and new for years to come.  If you have a Polywood chair you can use a cover to keep them clean. However we find cleaning our chairs not a difficult task with soap and water or a spray gun.
